A bad day into a much better one !

Lets face it we all have a bad day at one time or another , but it is how we choose to end the day that is what's  important.

1O Tips To turn a Bad day into a much better one

I completely understand that sometimes a bad day no matter how hard you try cannot be turned around.  That is fine too I have had many of those recently but it is time for me to gain a better understanding of my emotions.

Feel free to leave down your own tips and suggestions.

Apologies for the awful painting as whilst I am editing I just realised I cut a few words out by mistake which are positives , song  and mind.
 Thanks for reading

Outfit of the day + RECAP of the week

 # OOTD

This week has been a absolute roller coaster of emotions. I feel I use this saying a lot but is very true in describing my life. It Started off pretty bad my eating was out of control after doing so well, then finally I came to the conclusion I need to really get back on the straight and narrow path. As soon as I did ,things really began to change. I have been searching and applying for a job for months and hallelujah after all that hard work I can proudly say a interview is all I need to get the job.
I have seen better days but dwelling on the rubbish is a sure way for a downward spiral. I just have a lot on my chest and need to get through it all , my next post will be something of interest to someone who knows exactly how I am feeling.

 Rainy day at the docks

A casual choice that fitted nicely in with the cold dreary weather.

Getting back to Basics

I have been back to college for two days and my first thoughts : quite a lot  has changed over these last few months, new equipment and schedules. The class is still the same except I moved to B instead of A. I am hoping I will be able to just get on with my work and just try my best.

On another note driving is improving ever so slightly. I did my first ever parallel parking now that is some tricky business but with a little determination is easily done.

After having the same bag for school/college for 4 years. I finally went shopping online and bought it from one of my favourite online stores ; Asos because I wanted a backpack instead of a handbag. Practicality was key for me especially when it helps with the posture of my back. The best thing was it was on sale WHAT A BONUS !!!!!!!! :)

Recently have just read a very heart warming book that funnily enough was given to me by my dads girlfriend, I honestly was pretty touched. I do not know about you but reading is just such a wonderful leisurely time spent well I am whisked away in a whole other world and left thinking about the characters for a very long time afterwards.  In particular Instructions for a heat wave. Fantastic read for whenever you want to delve into another time period. Another book which I thoroughly enjoyed and it is very rare but it did happen I laughed out loud half way through. The character of Angela is incredibly sweet and love how she embarks on a journey to new exciting places.

I made this D.I.Y a while back will add the link here  http://anniesinnerhappinessforstudents.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/diy-memory-jar.html  Personally these few months have been really up and down emotionally and the only way I can move on is reflecting on the past then moving on. A article I read said gratitude is very important in feeling better and happier about stuff. I try to be as appreciative as I can as it is the little things I write down  creating a memory. What  I found makes it even more special by adding a piece of string creates the effect of a little scroll.
Scrapbooking is such a joyous fun way to add little bits and pieces of your life and keep it for years to come. I started scrapbooking when I was 17 years old and have just gone with the flow as you make it your own. There is no need to make it perfect or a masterpiece just have fun and see what happens. Before I left to go to college in year 11 we had a leavers day, a few people wrote some messages and I added it to my scrapbook as a memento. All this week I have been really working hard in finding a possible career and keeping up with all my assignments meaning less time spent ogling at the internet for hours and focusing on the little things and it makes me feel so much more alive and productive plus a way better nights sleep.

Driving 101

            Driving

                      My

                      Experience

Finally September has arrived and I am so glad as it is all about starting over for me.
Already got up this morning and cleared my head with a nice long walk.

I have been learning to drive for over a year now and so far all I have managed is to pass my Theory test which must mean I am on the right track.

5tips to passing
the theory

1. Spend a couple minutes a day going over the highway code and road signs that was key for me.
2. Invest in a cd ,the one I bought is called Driving test success can easily be bought on eBay or Amazon for under £10.00.
3. Practice practice the theory and hazard perception 3x a week if you are not passing which is the route I took.
4. When travelling in the car try to take note of all the different signs
colour is very important and may just help you figure out the message behind the sign.
5. Just do the best you can as that is what matters

Unfortunately I am a terrible driver and this is what I find the hardest part of the whole experience.
The Game Plan : I want to be able to take the test in October
More lessons hopefully having up to 4 hours a week rather than two will help the process along a little quicker. Paying attention to what other drivers do as much as I can really focusing on the techniques that are required.
Hopefully by writing this all down will motivate me to put as much effort as possible as driving
would mean  more freedom going to places independently.

I am really sorry if this post may have no interest to those who have passed , little younger or live in a different country I hope the drawing is one part you may like I simply cannot draw so the sketch is my sisters.

Please if anyone has any tips on passing I would really appreciate the advice.

Each month I create a quote to follow

" Life is a battle the only way to get through is to fight "

One ingredient ICECREAM !!!!!!!!!!

Job hunting and a Recipe ..........

I cannot believe I have just one more week before I go back to college. These past few weeks have been a blur they have gone so quick. I am determined to get myself a part time job all my excuses are out of the window ,which means I am ready to start handing in cv's in hope I will be hired. Handed in 4 cv's so far will just have to be patient. focusing on driving again as it still  a struggle taking it one step further trying out the intensive course.

the first post I ever wrote I mention that I include  a few recipes occasionally. I have been meaning too for a while. I always plan at least 5 posts in advance. Switching things up; first ever recipe (well can hardly call it a recipe as it is so darn easy to make that is if you like bananas).

Step1. You will need at least 3 medium sized bananas.

step 2. Carefully break each banana into chunks then lay it on a flat surface in this case I used a    cookie tray.

step3. Place the banana chunks into a freezer for at least 3 hours until fully frozen.

step 4. Equipment needed is a food processor do not worry if you don't have one. A blender will work just fine or worst case scenario (just eat the frozen chunks still tastes good right ?) pulse on high for a few seconds at a time making sure you keep scraping the sides down estimated time : 5 minutes until the mixture is a nice creamy soft serve consistency.

Step 5.  For presentation I chose to put it in a teacup for a nice vintage touch.
Tastes really yummy and for added flavour add a drop of vanilla extract vanilla makes everything taste 1000 times better.

Friends are For Life :)

Wow I cannot believe how unbelievably fast August has approached. We are More than half the way through the year "pretty scary". Feels like last year was just around the corner. I have been meaning to discuss this topic for a while as it is very close to home for me.

Friends we all have experienced this kind of relationship at least once in our lifetime. so why is it so important to have a true friend?

What friendship means to me in a nut shell: Someone who accepts all your flaws and can tell you the truth even if it can be hard to swallow. Always able to count on ,no matter the circumstances.

Growing up is a major part of being a teenager, and lets be honest is not always going to be smooth sailing. I should know as making friends is something I do find quite difficult to do as I have not always chosen the right group of girls to begin with.

Ever since I was little wanted to pretend I was someone else I even changed my name as I was not always fond of Anne-Marie ,which is the name I was given to when I was born. I am not sure why ,maybe I felt I was always going to be known as her. So I did what most people do when you don't fit in I tried to follow what my group of friends did even though at times I was questioning my own identity in this big wide world. I was not overly shy in the early years of aged ten and younger ,as my life was planned out for me.  You go to school move up to the next grade easy peasy. The bigger issue arose when my Family wanted to move to another country , somewhere new and different there it is the word "being different " I was afraid as I was not sure how to be myself. Living in a whole new culture and miles away from my little community where nothing changed . I was thrown into the deep end on a massive scale, soo deep I was not sure if I would ever learn to swim on my own (Metaphor ) adapting to change. I was bullied several times in my life now I can see why I never liked to show my true colours I was by no means cruel I just did not have my own opinion of others yet. I have been lucky to have that one friend which of course is my sister who I mention quite a bit ,as I don't have to hide being me which is a absolutely wonderful feeling. Now I  have another best friend except she lives in the Netherlands but we make it work as best as we can.

My best advice on keeping those awesome friends and making new ones is please be yourself . I know its hard to do especially when your not sure who you as a person fully , but in time it will get easier. Well I still have loads to learn. I am 18 am and still struggle to find a real group of friends in England that accept me for me. Looking back I am proud of some of the choices I have made although have said terrible things and not always made the best choices even now I still go against the true me.  I am human and we are going to make mistakes but as long as you can move forward and be the better person for it then there really is no need to stress about the past.

Maybe this does not make a great deal of sense but this particular blog is me being me and I am a very honest person and would not dream of being someone else as there are no rules its what's right in your heart, there are no tips or what not to say or ways to do things as everyone experiences different things. One size does not fit all, and am perfectly happy about that. I can truly say standing out from the crowd is a wonderful thing. Please try to not judge someone as we all do it from time to time but watching this program switched at birth has made me realise everyone deserves a chance at happiness.

`Vacation Time

Tuesday 30th July our adventure began at 9:50 pm ,was when my sister and I boarded the plane to the exotic location of Tenerife , Spain. Arrived at 2:50 am Wednesday morning at the airport ready to catch the shuttle to our Hotel. I could not help laughing at how the bus driver took us round and round in circles as he was completely lost and not to mention on the phone the whole time. First thought was  "great start to the Holiday" all will change. I was Simply exhausted and this is the first time with my 16 year old sister to go on a holiday by ourselves. Sometimes fear can give you the right push into becoming more independent, as let me tell you we are both wimps when it comes to pushing ourselves to the limit. Fell asleep pretty quickly except there was a strange annoying noise we could here that sounded like someone was snoring ; a little weird; it did stop thank goodness.
First proper day : All our food was inclusive meaning help yourself to as much as you want was the motto.

after breakfast the rest of the day was spent relaxing by the pool and hunted around for the best swimming pool which would definitely be this one. The cool thing was you had to use a card to access the pool each time.

Each night we would dress up for dinner and wore a variety of outfits , one great thing about being on a holiday is how much time you have to get ready and very little time thinking about all the stress left at home.

Day 2 Early start to the day ,as we planned to go downtown to get our bearings more familiar with Los Cristiano's a very quaint little town with a vibe that could almost be replicated to the times I spent in Florida. I think it must of been the palm trees that were the dead giveaway.

Day 3 was back to the pool and in the afternoon ventured into the supermarkets  after a little siesta of course. Browsing all the food they had for offer which I spotted purple Fanta and well the ice creams speak for themselves except I forgot to take a photo. Night time was specifically targeted to the kids and ended up finishing at 9:45 which was right about the time the real entertainment started several included a magic show, acrobatics, opera singing are too name a few. Not necessarily our cup of tea but was pretty hilarious to watch.

Day 4 had to be the day I was most looking forward to as it was a little trip to the beach, as when I lived in Florida that was the number one hot spot. My whole family would go at the weekends ahhh those were the days. I will let these photos do the talking ( not literally ).

Day 5 was a trip to the market to see if we can buy some gifts to take back home with us and give to a few family members . At night I was happy to play a game of pool which I had completely forgot how to hold the stick  a little embarrassing to admit either way I won. My last hit was a epic  HIT landing my striped ball in the hole. I am aware these terms sound strange and if your familiar with the game I am sure it will make sense. (here I am hoping I don't sound weird at all )

Day 6 cannot believe we are nearly at the end of our vacation well after staying at the hotel we thought why not try something else. from pondering over the  different options. Best idea so we thought was to go to the Waterpark. Unfortunately the trip ended up in a disaster to say the least we bought only 12 euros on the bus and once we got there I realised you had to pay for your locker and most of the rides.  What was really disappointing was the dolphin show which I thought having paid in advance would cover the dolphin show as well boy was I wrong. Anyways we managed to go on a ride called wacky races which was a lot of fun but were worried the bus would only come at 5. Leaving us no choice but to get a taxi. You live and you learn is the saying I am going with here . to put a more positive outcome on the situation I liked feeling independent. The rest of the day was laying lazily at the pool.

The final day was full of excitement and a little sad to be leaving as it was really nice having time away from the parents and feeling more grown up than ever. The juicy gossip : I have left to the end as you will read in a minute why.  18is the legal age I can drink alcohol I tried one alcoholic drink a rum and coke which was revolting. Having to work  up the courage to meet and talk to people was a little daunting at first and luckily the last night before we left we met some really sweet guys a little younger but were hilarious to talk to. Lets be honest what holiday would be complete without food .......        response absolutely none. Cannot wait for the next trip away made a few mistakes saving the best one too last.  Leaving my purse on the flight back with all my cards and money inside is now gone forever. I was completely devastated no matter how tired you are always do a double check on the valuables. Believe it or not I did get a tan the proof is definitely not in the pictures.

I was very grateful for this chance to visit somewhere new :)

Did you go anywhere this summer? would love to know .

                      ! Liebster Award !

I was kindly nominated by the lovely blogger http://dreamlovelivefashion.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/leeds.html ,which I must admit was a surprise and really happy even if it was just one blogger. I am still very grateful as it is not about the number it is the amazing opportunities alongside  being able to find new exciting blogs.
For those who are not familiar with the Liebster award it is for blogs that have under 200 follower's and just helps spread the word across in a way that makes both the blogger and the nominee happy. The part that I enjoy is finding out facts about other bloggers and being able to give other bloggers a shutout which they truly deserve one, as do all the blogs on the internet. It is such  a  tremendously brave thing to speak your mind and let people into parts of your life that you may of not shared before.

The questions :
1. What is your guilty pleasure?
Like most young girls I have a sweet tooth for sweet treats ,especially chocolate ha-ha. Listening to music from the early 2000s and late 90s such as the good old Backstreet boys. My favourite was Nick and when I was five apparently I wanted to marry him hmm. not sure what I was thinking back then.

2. What is your most embarrassing moment?
Oh my I have quite a few a couple years ago while I was in year 8 I was in my French lesson.  I was too shy to ask to sit on another chair as the one I sat on had some gum on the back part of the chair. Towards the end of the lesson I slowly moved my seating position and forgot about the gum. Well I am sure you can guess what happened I ended up with the gum stuck to my skirt. I literally ran out of the room as soon as the bell rang.  I could not believe how unlucky I could be and to top it off my friends could  not stop laughing I wanted to die of embarrassment.

3. What is your dream job?
Working for Vogue as a editorial assistant writing about fashion and getting to experience the behind the scenes of such a magnificent magazine.

4. Favourite item of clothing?
The shorts I bought from Miss Selfridges this year ,they have lace at the bottom and I searched for this exact pair on every fashion website until I spotted them in Oxford.

http://anniesinnerhappinessforstudents.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/quick-update-already-into-may-lo-and.html

5. What inspired you create your blog?
I was struggling with major confidence issues and would spend a lot of time browsing at blogs thinking there are not enough blogs that are related to teenager's and their issues. Which is what I was going through as well as a way to stop comparing myself to others and proving to myself that I am capable of writing a blog. I hope one day I could give a little of my  advice to someone who would appreciate it and make them just a little bit happier.

6. Who's blog to you visit the most?
I seriously am addicted to reading other peoples blogs one that I read quite a lot almost every day is a blog called http://www.runningwithspoons.com/ I just love her philosophy on life and her honest approach.

7. What was your best life moment?
I have yet to experience this one but for me personally would be the whole wedding experience and my first child.

8. What is your greatest achievement?
Last year in Media I created a psychological thriller trailer ,which involved lots of work and dedication and am proud to say I achieved and A as my overall grade could not be happier.

9. What is your weirdest food crave?
I am a foodie for sure I love food and think about it way too much during the day not necessarily a good thing I hope one day I will be able to have a healthy relationship with food. Anyways would be cream cheese and jam tastes like cheesecake HEAVEN ....

10. If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would love to get the experience of going to New York I mean what a beautiful cultured city , know idea why but that is where I would pick to go.

I nominate these fabulous bloggers
1. http://bostonsdiary.blogspot.co.uk/ such a sweet girl great fashion advice :)
2. http://rosesrooftop.blogspot.co.uk/ run by two awesome girls who have a great outlook on life :)

Wild shopping adventure

A Day Out In Birmingham

I woke up at 7 o clock in the morning to a pretty bad storm , believe it or not there was thunder and lightning unbelievable considering it is the day we decided to go shopping. Whilst we were on the bus the storm continued to  worsen and was unsure of whether we will be going anywhere at this rate. Finally arrived at the train station with my sister, ready to get on the train but due to the torrential rain, flooding occurred and was told the train is cancelled. Not surprised because there was reported damage that had already occurred on the train lines. Everyone who was boarding the train went to get a refund on their tickets then the intercom said not to worry the train has been reinstated with a 15 minute delay. From all this confusion we were both happy to just sit on the train  then Kayleigh needed the loo and she was certain the train would not leave for at least ten minutes. After humming and haring for a few minutes off she went and little did I know the train left ,with me still on the train with  our bags tickets and phones . I  could not believe what just happened I was rather confused at first leading me to  complete panic mode. How on earth will I be able to contact my sister  first time for everything I guess. I immediately got hold off my dad told him what had happened and he suggested I either go by myself or get the next train back . Luckily in the town we were in we knew someone who lived here and I thought to myself she might of gone to see her so I phoned the number and told my Godmother ,warning her my sister might arrive there soon and I was right; just as I was on the phone she arrived at the door. confirming what the next step was  should I wait for her to get the next train then meet her at a specific time as I could not phoning her would be hopeless. I Arrived at Birmingham an hour and a half later then went around a couple shops waiting for the time to pass on bye till it was time to meet up. Ten to 11 there she was standing waiting for her ticket. Now the fun can begin first stop was Miss Selfridge which we looked at a couple items but could not quite see anything that caught our eye.  I had a sudden horrible thought that I may of lost her camera which is the one I use to take the photos , not too mention if it got stolen how mad my sister would be at me. Thinking logically here I retraced my steps and remembered I must of left it in the Warehouse dressing room. I was right the kind lady picked it up and kept it at her desk ; few what a relief. A couple hours passed and we both decided to have lunch at the Mr Pretzel stand. Each got a lovely soft utterly delicious cinnamon pretzel I am what you call a cinnamon fiend "cant get enough of the stuff". Normally we  would got to our Eat which sells a variety of different foods ,your mouth will be watering just looking at all the different options. The purpose of the shopping trip was to find some clothes for our Holiday which is on Tuesday. There was so many sales happening in almost every store we went to. After a long day  we called it a day ,super happy with our purchases and Exhausted to the extreme but was worth the little adventure.

Have you ever had any weird shopping experiences ?

Current Favourites : Green and Blue edition

On Tuesday I took my theory test and passed first time , as you can imagine that made me incredibly happy with myself . Now I am one step further in to freedom. The kind of happiness I experienced was overwhelming and had joyful tears welling up in my eyes.

What amazzzing weather all week , I am so glad I can get a proper tan to cover up my pale skin ;which I am perfectly fine with but a bit of colour is perfectly acceptable too. I saw  many reviews on the Garnier sun kissed lotion and was very happy that it builds a tan naturally, exactly what I was hoping as I am not very keen on self tanners , otherwise I will get a lots of random streaks and lines not exactly very appealing to look at.

My all time favourite colour is blue any shade will do. Last summer I bought on a whim 3 pastel coloured nail varnishes by Barry M , of course my number one favourite is the pale blue as you can see in the photo below.  I wear this particular colour a lot  luckily I have a sister who finds painting nails quite easily , yeah for those kind of helpful people in our lives.

Green Smoothies ::::::::::)
I know what you are thinking , ( YUCK /GROSS ) far from those words ;truly out of this world delicious , yes it is made with spinach.  Honestly without this spectacular ingredient it just would not be the same , drooling over this creation , I personally like the green goddess colour it makes for a  very sophisticated drink.
Enjoy the weather while it lasts , more importantly do not forgot your sunscreen I should know as I have been burnt 3 times already. (WHOOOPS)
